The Hoovinahole Foundation was founded in 2011 by Mr. Nandi J Hoovinahole, a committed social worker who dreamed of improving the lives of underprivileged children, youth, and women in rural Karnataka. Starting by distributing educational kits to government school students in his native Village Hoovinahole, the inspiration for the foundation. Mr. Nandi’s selfless work soon gained support from others who encouraged him to expand the foundation’s reach.
The foundation was started in 2011 and registered in 2015, with its headquarters in Bengaluru. We collaborate with several individuals/ corporate companies /Partners all over India to ensure we realize our set objectives.
We have been consistently working to save Govt schools across Karnataka, as of now we have renovated 42 Govt schools and provided basic infrastructure to 30+ Govt schools since 2011 with support from corporate companies such as Pwc India, TEKsystems Global Services, Riverbed Technology India, ECI, Evora IT Solutions, MHS, Motocare India, SLK Software, etc. under CSR funding, also provides educational materials and conducts various training programs, skill education, skill-based career counseling post matriculation, activity-based learning programs, science-related activities, and cultural programs at these schools. We are so proud that our sponsored Para athlete has won a silver medal for India in 2021 and the powerlifting athlete has won 3 gold medals for India in 2022.
As part of our skill-based education interventions, we have established a permanent skill center in Hoovinahole village Govt higher primary school campus where state-of-the-art computers and all digital facilities are provided with three dedicated resources person, students from 4 Govt schools students and youth of Hoovinahole will be benefited, The Hoovinahole Foundation's vision is a society where all children, youth, and women are empowered through access to education, skills training, and community support.
